We needed a new home security monitoring & service company, as ours had been bought out again, this time by Telus. Our existing system is older, hard wired with many built in wired sensors. Apparently Telus is unable to service and maintain hard wired systems as they only do wireless. We were not interested in having our entire system ripped out and replaced, when it still works fine. We just needed new smoke detectors and keypads.
I found and contacted GlobalTek and Lee (co-owner) spent quite a bit of time on email and phone ensuring all my questions were answered, plus a full discussion of our needs and his recommendations, and a complete quote and scheduling were all done easily.
Install day came and Shane & Carter did a great job checking over all of our existing equipment, upgrading the panel and changing out the old components. They were professional and friendly, explained what they were doing, and discussed everything with us. They ran into a snag with our old equipment, and Aaron (co-owner) came out promptly and helped them quickly discover the issue, which was a prior wiring issue with the old equipment's install (Aaron used this issue for training as well which was impressive to see - most companies don't bother!). They corrected the problem quickly, tested the entire system, programmed us to be connected to their monitoring station, and we were up and running.
They reply quickly to my email enquiries. Their prices are better than Telus'. They offer guard response service.
